I hope at least half of those 128,000 notes have come from people pointing out it was written by an anime blogger who tags all her posts with ‘just another teenage girl’ and tagged that particular one with ‘so many people don’t even know about Ukraine’
RUSSIA HAS DECLARED THAT THEY’RE INVADING UKRAINE OFFICIALLY. NOT EVEN HIDING BEHIND OLD AGREEMENTS. Britain has to aid the Ukrainians against the Russians now, America warned Russia not to, with consequences if they did, so now they’re involved, Canada was looking into what Russia was doing to see how bad it was and they to have to get involved even more.
WHAT PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND IS THAT IT COULD ACTUALLY DRASTICALLY ESCALTED INTO SOMETHING RESEMBLING A WORLD WAR.
Sorry, nope. Not true.
Don’t give 128,000 notes to people who are trying to be serious but write half their post in caps.
cult of luna - vertikal review
I feel really weird about this review. I can sense where the guy is getting at, and his points / opinions / arguments are well put, but I can’t help disagree with his overall taking. I mean I agree with his analysis basically, but not his findings. He says it lacks detail and it’s stagnant and does not break away from the ISIS-similarity, and I just couldn’t disagree more. This album sounds on the whole totally different from any of COL’s previous material and also goes much farther into the electronics than ISIS ever did. The album captures in my opinion the mood and the disenfranchisement and disillusion of the modern city (as per the concept), and just sounds more sad and desolate in places than ISIS ever did, just a totally different kind of vibe. That’s not meant as a shot on ISIS, they just did different things.
Three telltale signs that you’re reading/watching a bullshit Cult of Luna review:
- More than one mention of the band Isis
- A discussion of the term ‘post-metal’
- Highlighting the ‘dubstep’ bit in Vicarious Redemption
It’s just sad that I still feel the need to discuss Reading and Leeds festival when I am at least four years too old for it now. The lineups seem worse and worse the further you get from the age of 16

I BET THAT IF TWO KIDS LIVED IN THOSE TWO HOUSES THAT THEY WOULD COME OUT ON THEIR ALMOST CONJOINING ROOFS OUTSIDE THEIR BEDROOM WINDOWS AND TALK AND BE BEST FRIENDS AND FALL IN LOVE.
I will not write fluff to that. I won’t. No.
